On August 23, 2018, history was made in Gwinnett County.
The ATLWOOD® Trademark Brand partnered with Aquarius Williams-Terry of A.C.E Corporate Events at Atlanta Tech Park. We successfully launched our first charity benefit event in Norcross, Georgia from (5pm-730pm) featuring a panel of former NFL football players.
“Leadership After Hours” is an event series founded and created by Aquarius Williams-Terry to bring together elite corporate business people to connect, build, & prosper. The sports panel featured two NFL greats who were very eager to engage with the crowd.
Bobby Howard/President/National Footbal Players Association/Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rennie Curran/Author/Tennessee Titans
Both gentlemen gave very insightful dialogue and poured out their heart and soul by discussing candid stories of life before pro, life during pro, & life after pro. Bobby Howard stated that he grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania & Rennie Curran grew up in North Atlanta, Georgia (Gwinnett County), both had very humble beginnings.
Rennie discussed the frustrations of being a star player on Saturdays at the University of Georgia and going to class on Monday banged up trying to focus on classes. Bobby elaborated on his role as the President of the National Football Players Association and his commitment to fight for bridging the gap between players & the NFL upper management.
